It’s absolutely gorgeous outside today, and on a day like this (at least for me) the best thing to turn on is some hopping new funky tunes. Well it seems Australian producer Itsu is feeling the same way. His newest release, The Jazushi EP, is packed full of non-stop funky goodness. With roots in glitch-hop, electro soul, dubstep and drum & bass, the EP shows off an intricately arranged assortment of tracks full of delicious melodies and intentionally wavering bass lines. Four brand new tracks offer different insights into the genre, focussing on the melody in tracks like “Organ Abuse” and “Itsusaurus”, while also relying more on bass elements with “Bassbestos Sandwich”. The EP just dropped today, so if the previews below are enough to wet your tastebuds, then head over to beatport to scoop the release in its entirety. Release courtesy of High Intensity Records.
