It’s that time of year where the trees start changing color and shedding their leaves. Bright sunny days will slowly turn cool and gray. Fall can feel almost morose in atmosphere at times. The northeast in particular takes on a rather grim quality. The world feels almost eerie; it’s the perfect season for Halloween, ,the perfect season to let the ghosts, ghouls and monsters run rampant.
This fall, master of horror- and drumstep- Figure, sets off on his most horrifying tour yet. With dates all across the United States, the TerrorVision Tour will showcase a new live element from Figure’s performance that has yet to be seen. The Indiana producer partnered with Rane and Serato on a new visual system that Figure will control himself simultaneously with his music. The visuals contain chopped and twisted clips from horror films. With Figure’s frequent and sporadic BPM changes throughout his production, the visual layer promises a truly terrifying experience.
Tickets for the TerrorVision Tour are officially on sale today. The tour will hit Philadelphia’s SoundGarden Hall on Friday, October 24 as well as Nightmare Festival in Darlington, MD on Saturday, November 1.
“Terrorvision has been a concept I’ve been putting together for some time now, something I thought would go really well with my annual Monsters series.
I wanted to create the ability to compile tons of custom edited clips the same way I have compiled tons of music for my sets over the years. I’m a horror buff and I’ve amassed an extensive collection of classic shock theatre and obscure films which is definitely an inspiration for the visual direction on this tour.
Through partnering with Rane/Serato and using their hardware I now have the ability to map these custom visuals to my music on the fly, adding a brand new element to my live show. Many artists look at visuals as a way to simply customize the blank slates of wall behind them. WithTerrorvision it’s another dimension of my music. An intense visual backdrop giving my fans a window into where i draw inspiration; my vision as a producer, coming together on stage where the visuals brings it all to life.”

With four volumes of the Monsters series already under his belt, Josh Gard (aka Figure) will also release the latest edition, Monsters Vol. 5, on October 14, just before the tour’s first date (October 17). Notoriously, each track on the Monsters releases focuses on a particular monster or creature (though it has since evolved to include other horror movie aspects and titles).
Figure has already released the album’s first single, “Friday the 13th” as a free download. A recent clip from Figure also previewed another track, “Freddy Krueger”, which he debuted at Electric Zoo in New York this year. Based on the album’s artwork (pictured below), other monsters featured on the album look to include the Creature from the Black Lagoon.
