It’s really exciting to see how the recent flux of attention to electronic music, of all genres, has resulted in producers striving to provide delicately arranged original interpretations of sound utilizing elements from multiple genres. Los Angeles producer MORiLLO let’s that idea shine through quite bountifully in his music. Most apparent is a hip-hop influence, but constant progressions often lead his tracks through moments of glitch, dubstep, juke and more. Every song is carefully assembled with not only riveting drum patterns, but organic sound design, complex compositions, and soft ambient layers that seem to cycle around one another as if churning in a blender.
