We’ve got a very special edition  of Mix Mondays for you guys today. Last week we reached the 2,000 Like landmark on our Facebook page, and so we’ve decided to give back to our fans as a special thank  you to all that support.

So this week we’re starting off Mix Mondays with the first mix in our “2,000 Likes Free Mix Extravaganza” series. The series will feature a new, exclusive mix each day over the next three, until Wednesday. Today we’re starting things off with the fresh, new “Eyes Ahead Mix” from New York producer and guitarist Izahead. Izahead has become a frequent contributor to the Funkadelpia community, dishing out a relentless series of bass-driven singles and remixes, including the exclusive premier of his collaborative single, “Moment Mentality” and his recent contribution, “Behind Your Eyes”, to the Pulp FUNKtion compilation album. The new mix showcases just what Scott Severs, a.k.a. Izahead, has been up to in the past few months, boasting a massive group of unreleased crunchy and groovy tracks in just under half an hour of all original material.

Mix Mondays 2

Of course Mix Mondays is still in full effect. We can’t go and ignore all the other amazing music that has broken daylight in the form of epic mixes in the past week.

First up is the rapidly growing name Tipper, who was gracious enough to release his full live set from the recent intimate performance at CoSM. Following  his performance at Best Buy Theater on January 3rd, Dave Tipper routed up to the Grey’s artistic sanctuary in upstate New York the following day for a special downtempo/ambient set for a group of just 200 fans. For those who were unable to experience the spectacular evening first hand, this sound board recording of  the mix is the next best thing.

Of course we’ve got some more crunchy bass for you guys, something you can really never have enough of as long as it’s quality. And you know when you’ve got a new mix from The Upbeats, you’ve got something quality. In preparation for a few Japan performances next week, the New Zealand duo threw together this thirty minute mix to get fans excited; and it accomplishes it’s goal perfectly.

Next we’ve got some fresh noise from French duo Tha Trickaz. These two are always hard at work elevating progressive electronic tunes, whether it’s through their own production or pushing other artists through their label, OTODAYO Records. This new mix, a guest appearance for Kannibalen Records, shows not only how talented these two are behind the decks, but how immense their library truly is.

In a complete change of mood, we turn to FACT Mag for yet another fantastic guest mix. This one comes from Noah Lennox, known as Panda Bear, and one of the founding members of the group Animal Collective. The mix delves into forty minutes of non-stop psychedelia driven minimal beats and engulfing ambient layers.
