East Coast producer Brightside is back with some brand new, super deep bass for your eardrums’ pleasure. With the second half of his two-part album, Apex, quickly approaching, it seems Eric Tully (Brightside) just couldn’t help but let another new tune slip a little prematurely. While you can already hear the album’s first half HERE, it will be joined by its second half and brought to its entirety later this month.
“Subverb” is the latest single from the forthcoming second half of the album. Once again, it is a perfect example of this still up-and-coming producer’s full potential, and truthfully, a good explanation of the massive incline in attention the Brightside project has achieved over the past year.
Delving into an ambient mist of bass, the single envelops itself in world music inspired percussion, taking on an almost tribal sound. That is, of course, juxtaposed against a rather futuristic layer of synthesizer and production sound design work. The full ensemble comes together in an unraveling psychedelia journey through minimalist bass sound.
