We simply cannot resist the funk. Be it classical, futuristic, or a blend, if it’s crunchy and knows how to turn out a fresh groove, you can bet we’ve got our ears to the ground. Boulder producer SoDown is certainly on the right track. Utilizing a combination of rigid and crunchy bass production fused firmly against a delicious selection of live instruments, from saxophone to guitar, the resulting sound is delightful in the purest sense of the word. A new single, “Swunkster”, has recently emerged, and the ingenuity is simply impossible to ignore. SoDown is still fighting to forge his own path in this ceaselessly thickening world of musicians, but with tunes like this, there’s no doubt that the SoDown name is one we will all be well familiar with very soon.
