There’s something inescapably residual about perfectly manipulated sound. Vapid burbles and swirling synthesizer layers plague this new single from local producer Shanti. A clear lack of contentment toward the frequent complacent state of electronic music shows itself wholesomely in “Her Tentacles”. Bringing new life to organically rigid sound design, the New Jersey producer contextualizes an audio environment that once again further presses the clearly unnecessary boundaries of electronic music. A thundering rhythm carries the robust track across purposefully faltering percussion and through relentless barriers of systematic sound design.
