One label name we can always count on for some new quality tunes is definitively Gravitas Recordings. The Austin, Texas based label has been home to countless releases from some of the world’s most progressive electronic acts. What’s most commendable, though, is that it doesn’t seem to matter if the artist already has substantial traction in the live music world or not. All that matters is if the music is quality.
Well, that’s certainly the case for the label’s latest release from Fine Cut Bodies. Not to talk down on the producer, as he certainly is on the come-up and making plenty of waves in the music community; but, hailing from Los Angeles, Attila Fodor (Fine Cut Bodies) may remain somewhat unknown to many east coast listeners. If there’s one thing we’ve learned from Gravitas, though, it’s that that is no measure of a musician’s actual ability. Fine Cut Bodies demonstrates exactly why he is on the come-up with the new Paper Tales EP. Full of experimental composition techniques, brilliant, original sound, and clashing realms of musical genres, the EP weaves itself in and out of original thought after original thought.
