Moonrise Festival Announces Massive 2016 Lineup

by Kyle Taylor |

Moonrise Festival just brought new meaning to word “massive” with the drop of its 2016 lineup. It only gets more exciting when you are able to finally calm down the excitement and remind yourself this is only phase one. Bassnectar. Tiesto. Zedd. Three names that truly rule the electronic music world, yet all from very different realms. Tiesto: one of the truest of veterans in the club music world, formerly a king of trance and now a master of house. Bassnectar: often proclaimed the king of the sound, but undeniably a master of bass typhoons. And Zedd: a rising production star with a stock only further on the rise due to his uncanny abilities in the world of electro.

From there, the lineup trickles down all throughout the electronic music family of music. Foot steppers, head-bangers, skankers, arm-crankers – Moonrise has packed together a lineup brimming with diversity through connectivity. Just glancing through the rest of the phase one lineup, picking out the presence of drum & bass, future funk, trap, dubstep, deep house, electro house, jamtronica, and hip hop is no difficult task. From there, the musical tendrils only extend further into what are by far the biggest names in music showcasing various hybrids of sound.

Now in its third year at the Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland, Moonrise Festival immediately established a strong production effort equivocal to its lineup. The return of the festival once again this year only promises upgraded lighting production and other installation effort improvements. Not only can patrons expect to experience an enormous catalog of music over the course of the weekend, but they can also surely plan to be on the receiving end of jaw-dropping light experiences, torrential sound, and a fully transformed festival grounds lush with vendors and other interactive interfaces.
