It is near unfathomable the density of intellectually-driven electronic music on the 2016 lineup for Infrasound Festival. This year the festival moves to new grounds, and in expanding its capacity, so has its lineup. Genre is really of no object here, as the true unifying aspect of the lineup is its artists’ consistency in efforts to further the electronic sound.
A renowned veteran of the sort, Ott has been a steady source of encumbering electronic symphonies for over a decade. Consisting of live instruments straying far into experimental catacombs of noise, Ott’s music further embeds those elements within atmospheres of fluttering synthesizer ambiance. A production-based central thesis has allowed Ott to develop from the sole mind of its captain; however, the project has occasionally seen live band incarnations as Ott & The All-Seeing I.
One of Infrasound Festival’s headliners in 2015, Ott returns this year. Yet, while last year bore witness to a solo set from the British producer, this year’s performance with consist of a performance from the full band including members Naked Nick, Chris Umberloid, Matt White, and of course, Ott.
